Scope of Service

SM Bearing Supplier is a comprehensive multi-brand bearing supplier that sources and quotes bearings and associated mounting components; it is not a manufacturer and does not act as an official agent of any brand.

1.1Products covered

Supply and quotation cover ball bearings, roller bearings, mounted bearing units, precision bearings, and housings, adapter sleeves and mounting components. Single replacement parts and complete purchase lists are both within scope.

1.2Use of brand names

Brand names such as SKF, FAG, NSK, KOYO, NTN, INA, NACHI and TIMKEN appear on this website only to identify products. Their use does not indicate an official agency, partnership or endorsement by the brand owners.

1.3Packaging

Bearings are supplied in original packaging with supporting documentation. The specific documents available for each order are confirmed at quotation stage.

Enquiries & Reference Confirmation

Identification results depend on the information the buyer provides; SM Bearing Supplier confirms the exact execution and complete components before quoting, and no technical change is made without the buyer's approval.

2.1Information to include

  • —Equipment or machine model
  • —Full bearing reference with suffix
  • —Brand and bearing position
  • —Quantity for each line
  • —Destination country and postcode
  • —Required delivery date

2.2Incomplete or worn references

Where a reference is abbreviated, missing its suffix or illegible, the buyer should send clear photos of the bearing markings. Abbreviated stock codes may not show the original seal type or internal clearance, so open points are listed back to the buyer for confirmation.

2.3Alternative references

Any alternative reference is listed separately from the requested item. Alternatives and technical changes, including different executions, are supplied only after written approval by the buyer.

Quotations

The written quotation is the binding reference for price, availability and lead time; verbal or chat estimates are indicative only until confirmed in writing.

3.1What a written quotation states

Item Meaning
Reference, brand, quantityEach line as confirmed with the buyer
Price and currencyUnit and line price in the stated currency
Stock statusWhether each line is available from stock
Estimated lead timeExpected time to dispatch, per line or order
Validity periodDate until which the quoted terms apply
Shipping or tax termsApplicable delivery and tax conditions

3.2Validity and changes

Lead times are estimates. After the validity period, price and availability are reconfirmed before an order is accepted. The quotation also confirms which product documents can actually be provided.

Orders & Payment

An order is placed only after the buyer has reviewed the written quotation and confirmed specifications, quantities, delivery details, payment arrangements and commercial terms.

4.1Pre-order checklist

  1. Specifications and full references, including suffixes
  2. Quantities for each line
  3. Delivery address, destination and required date
  4. Payment arrangements
  5. Commercial terms stated on the quotation

4.2Repeat orders

For repeat orders, the buyer should check that each reference matches the previous order. Any difference is treated as a new line and confirmed before quoting.

Shipping & Documents

Shipping method, dispatch schedule and required shipping documents are confirmed order by order, including for mixed-brand shipments consolidated into one delivery.

5.1Shipping method and schedule

The shipping method and dispatch plan are agreed with the buyer after order confirmation. Multi-brand lines can be combined into one shipment where the confirmed schedule allows.

5.2Shipping documents

The buyer should state which shipping documents the destination requires before dispatch. Only documents confirmed for the specific order are provided.

Receiving Checks & Discrepancies

The buyer should check product labels, quantities and visible condition on receipt, and report any discrepancy with the order number and photos so it can be reviewed.

6.1What to check

  • —Product labels against the confirmed references
  • —Quantities against each order line
  • —Visible condition of products and packaging

6.2Reporting a discrepancy

Contact SM Bearing Supplier with the order number and clear photos of the labels, packaging and affected items. Keep the goods in their original packaging while the case is reviewed.

Limitation of Liability & Suitability

The buyer confirms whether a bearing is suitable for its application; SM Bearing Supplier supplies products as stated on the confirmed written quotation.

7.1Application suitability

Matching by dimensions alone does not confirm that a bearing suits equipment needing a special execution. Final selection, including execution, clearance and sealing, rests with the buyer's confirmation.

7.2Scope of responsibility

SM Bearing Supplier's responsibility covers supplying the references, quantities and documents confirmed in writing. Results that depend on information the buyer provided, or on installation and operation, are outside that scope.

Note: If a requirement is unclear, ask before approving the quotation. Each technical point raised during identification is listed for the buyer to approve.
